lilly of the valley birthday card for my dad.

I have been toiling over this card today and I have finally got it to a point where I am happy with it. I hope he likes it too! I have used a lilly of the valley stamp and a range of papers from basil basics and kanban steampunk. The embelishments are home made flowers and jems.

back to the fuchsia?

I purchased some cheery lynn dies to make some hand made flowers, these fuchsias are a little time consuming, but worth it I think. They are made from the large rose die. The papers are all from my scraps bag, cheap and cheerfull!
And a special thanks to mo bunny for the stamen!

Humphrey's Corner Cards.

I have been preparing some cards to sell at work, they have a fathers day theme, and i have used Humphrey's Corner decoupage which is delightful. I must say I am very happy with them, and I just hope others think so too.

Lavinia stamps and pan pastels

I took a fancy to some Lavinia stamps at the Alli-Palli craft show, and also purchased some pan pastels. As this afternoon has been wet and wild, I stayed in and played, the pan pastels were really easy to use and as effective.... ( or more effective,.... as I'm useless at it!) than brayering. The finished results are as below, and they will be made into cards later.

commission for a memory box

I was commissioned by a colleague at work to make a memory box for a baby called charlie.  I struggled initially with what format to use and it took a while to come up with this. I liked the finished box, but I have yet to find out if it was liked by her, as I have had a weeks annual leave since delivering it.

I used acrylic pains and crackle glazed them, and then stamped out the little biy, and paper peiced him.

Bazoo stamps

Having had these stamps for a while, I have used them, but maybe not as much as i should have, you know how that is, Barry needed some samples to sell off the older stock, so here they are. I must say I really enjoyed water colouring them, and creating these. For the larger card I took inspiration from a card I saw online, but added my own take on it.

Off she went with a trumpety trump, trump trump trump!

I have been playing with my new Wildrose stamps. I love these and I have made lots of cards in the space of 24hrs! And I have enjoyed every minute of it. These will go on sale at work, like my last batch.

Sunday, 26 February 2012

I have been playing with my embossing folders.

Having neglected these for a very long time, I have dusted them off and made some mother's day cards to sell at work, again for help for heros.

The first is made from free toppers in "homemade" magazine, and the next were free stamps from another magazine hopefully put to good use.

Samples for Barjan b's shop.

Barry has asked me to do a board of samples for stamps of the month, and it is to be Humphry's Corner stamps. I have tried to come up with some that equal Maureen's standard.......... hmmmmm. Might have to keep at it!

I hope someone buys a stamp or two as a result!

cards to sell at work

I have been creating again, to raise money for help for heros, and have sold a grand total, of 1 card so far!

Barjan's challenge

When we went shopping for goodies for the shop we came across these hearts, which we thought we could use for a window display. This was my challenge completed. Using molly bloom, and white wash cordenations.

Cards for the telly

I am not sure if these will get shown or not, but I was asked to help to make some cards for Robert Addams next show. Let me know what you think.

new creations

Barry's crafty new venture. Barjan b craftswas opened by Robert Addams and Monica (from radio leicester), the 1st week of December. It was set up in memory of two special ladies Janet and Beatrice, and has become Barrys new way of life. Very exciting times.

January's crafting

appologies for the lack of recent input to the computor type thingy, I have been crafting but life has got in the way of spare time. If I haven't been at my day job, I have been helping my good friend Barry ( aka  Barjan b) in his new venture of a craft shop. It has been very exciting seeing it all come to life, and seeing all the new and exciting crafting goodies that get ordered.

this was a card made at the "Glitter Towers",  Maureen and I went on our golden ticket class the 1st weekend of December and we made some lovely cards, a bit outside my normal remit, but a change was as good as a rest.

These are a selection of Humphry's corner cards I made to sell at work, and they were so popular I couldn't keep up with demand. I will definitely do them again. Fun to work with and really lovely images.
